The onSafe MPEGx-8000 is based on a modified
version of the x100
codec housed in a 3U 19” cabinet that can hold
one or two 8 codec trays. Each tray includes an internal
Ethernet switch that provides 100 baseT connectivity to
each codec, two external Ethernet connections (1000 baseT)
and one GIBC-SERDES to interconnect the two trays.
There are two models available, with
8 or 16 codecs. The onSafe MPEGx-8008 encodes or decodes
8 video flows, while the MPEGx-8016 supports 16 video
channels and includes a redundant power supply, which
is optional in the x8008. All the channels can operate
at 25 fps with 4CIF resolution, offering professional
DVD quality operation.
Each channel has an independent RS232
port and an RS422/485 port for dome telemetry, one contact
input, one relay output, video motion detection, loss
of signal detection and on screen display text and logo
insertion.
