The onSafe MPEGx-100 is a small size single
channel codec that is able to encode or decode a single,
MJPEG, MPEG2* or MPEG4 video channel at 25(PAL)/30(NTSC)
fps with DVD quality.
As an encoder it accepts a PAL or NTSC
camera signal or video source, and offers video motion and
loss of signal detection. It has a RS232 and a RS422/RS485
serial ports that can be used for dome cameras PTZ control,
one input for alarms and one relay output.
As a decoder it receives an IP digital
video flow and outputs a PAL/NTSC analog video signal that
can be displayed in a monitor. Both as encoder or decoder
support on screen display text and logo insertion.
It supports true standard video coding,
single or double stream and unicast, multicast and event
multi flow multi unicast.
It offers a very flexible video and communications
configuration capabilities as VBR, CBR, GOP, VGL, MPEG-4
Advanced Simple Profile, and others.
For network connection there are two different
versions:
- Ethernet 100baseT (MPEGx-100)
- Optical Fiber 100FX (MPEGx-120)
And it is very well fitted for traffic
and transportation surveillance applications, were very
regular frame coding decoding and transmission is required
to smoothly display moving vehicles free of any flicker.
It is available in card format without housing, for OEM
business or to be housed and powered within the camera enclosure.
