IPGate is a packet assemblerr/disassembler
(PAD) of asynchronous messages coming from a serial line
that are embedded in IP packets and transported through
a network to which it is connected by ethernet.
Since the invention of the teletype until
nowadays, electronic devices are used in asynchronous
serial communications like RS232, RS422/485. These devices
are now required to have TCP/IP support and local network
connectivity.
The new IPGate adapter by Lanaccess,
cigarette-packet sized, is able to encapsulate transparently
asynchronous data through TCP/IP networks.
Although serveral similar products exist
in the market, Lanaccess offers in its product a unique
technology combination merging TCP/IP, Java and a capability
to adapt hardware/software to the specific needs (for
instance, it supports RS485 bus, Plug-ins) unmatched in
any other product available in the market.
Now it is possible to successfully enhance
any serial equipment with TCP/IP and LAN connectivity.
